Tuenta's Gemstone and Jewelry Barista was born from love, memory, and a deep connection to the artistry of gemstones. It all began with my mother, a woman whose lifelong passion for gemstones and jewelry inspired everyone around her. She wasn't a seller; she was a collector a connoisseur. My mother would spend hours meticulously handpicking gemstones from the bustling markets of Thailand, selecting only the finest, untouched stones. Back then, Thailand's markets were overflowing with natural, untreated gemstones, and my mothers discerning eye could always find the best among them.
When she passed away, I felt an overwhelming need to honor her memory, her gift and her treasures. Among the treasures she left me were her cherished gemstones and jewelry a legacy of her passion. These weren't just possessions; they were pieces of her soul. One day, while sorting through her collection, I noticed the broken emerald on her favorite pendant. That single gemstone became a symbol of everything I had lost and everything I wanted to preserve.

Determined to replace it, I set out on a journey that would change my life. What began as a simple quest quickly turned into an education. I found myself lost in the maze of gemstone suppliers, unable to distinguish between what was real and what wasn't. So, I did what I've always done when faced with the unknown I learned. I took courses on identifying gemstones, understanding their properties, and eventually, I found myself drawn to lapidary work. Luckily, I also had a friend with me as my partner in crime.
For someone like me, a lawyer by trade, lapidary work was an unlikely path. It was challenging, meticulous, and underappreciated in a world driven by commerce. But I was stubborn, and I refused to give up. I trained under Thailand's finest teachers along with my friend, honing our skills through countless hours of practice. My hands were clumsy at first, but with each stone I cut, I felt closer to my mother and her unwavering passion for perfection.

As I immersed myself in this world, I began to design my own jewelry simple, minimalist creations that reflected my personal style and the timeless beauty my mother always admired. What started as a tribute has now become my life's work, and although I'm only one years into this journey, I feel as if I've gained decades of experience.
